Our 24th of July trip to Redmond!

The 24th of July celebration in Redmond is always the best ever!  We were so excited to take almost a whole week off to come home to Redmond and celebrate with family.  The drive is kind of long, but Ronnie does really well playing with mommy in the back seat.

It started with a terrific dinner at the park and fireworks on Tuesday night.  Redmond fireworks are pretty great and we had a terrific view from the neighbors backyard.  Ronnie likes the fireworks!  He is not bothered at all by the noise and loves to watch all of the colors! Grandpa Ronnie and Grandpa Deran had some really great fireworks to show out by the salt piles.  It was a great show!

Wednesday started with a parade.  If you want to get candy at a parade, come to Redmond.  They go down the street and drop handfuls of candy and then they turn around and come back with more candy!

 After the parade, there were games and food at the park. 

 Then, that evening the Mickelsen family always gets together at the park for a barbeque.  Garrett and I have so much fun giving Ronnie new foods to try!  I think he likes it too!

 We spent the next few days going for walks, visiting family, eating good food, and playing with Ronnie.
 It was also the weekend of the Car Show in Salina.  Ronnie didn't like the Burn Out too much, but we enjoyed looking at all the cars on Saturday! 
(side note: Don't you love that I give him a softball to play with!)

We had such a wonderful weekend and we always love coming home to spend time with family!

Our Little Future Missionary

I just had to take pictures today of our good lookin' little guy and share them.  He is growing up so fast and gets cuter everyday!

We just need to get him a little name tag to wear!

Goin' Swimmin'

Ever since Ronnie had such a great time playing in the water at Bear Lake, I have wanted to take him to the swimming pool because I knew he would just love it!  Jeniel and her kids were going swimming and we said, "We would love to come!"
Ronnie loved it!  The Logan Aquatic center is so fun cause the kid's pool gradually gets deeper so I just sat him right there in the shallow part and he could just splash and play!

Cache Valley Car Show

Well, the car show was in town for the past few days and of course, we had to go take a look.  Ronnie's first Car Show, and definitely not the last!  We had fun and really missed Grandpa Deran and Grandpa Ronnie!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!  It has been a fun year of "firsts" for Ronnie and today was his first 4th of July Celebration!
Last night we went over to my brother Ira's house for dinner and some great Fireworks!

 I think Ronnie liked the Fireworks.  My brother put on a great firework show! Probably the best backyard show I've ever seen! 

For the 4th, we went over to the festivities at Riverside park by Ira's house.  It was small, quaint, and a whole lot of fun!

Mickelsen Family Trip to Bear Lake

The past few days, we have had such a good time with my family at Bear Lake.  We haven't been together (all of us) in while so it was fun to have a full house.  My parents rented a great cabin and we spent a few days having fun at the beach, playing games, relaxing, eating some great food, and just catching up.
We spent one of the days at the beach and had such a good time!  It was Ronnie's first time "going swimming" and he loved it! Every time the waves would come up, he would squeal and giggle.  It was so much fun!

 After lunch, there was a great playground right next to the beach.  Ronnie loved the swings!

We also went and saw Minnetonka Cave.  It was a really cool and we had a lot of fun!

It was a great trip and so much fun to spend with family!
