Christmas!

I love Christmas and we really had a great one this year thanks to our amazing families.
The Mickelsen's gathered in SLC before Mom, Dad, Heidi, and Whit flew to New York for Christmas. The best part was opening gifts together as a family!

Garrett got the Angry Birds game from Cody.

Whitney gave me worms! (Seriously! She gave me a worm farm!)

We got a great 72 hour kit from my parents

and the best gift of all.........I got a Circuit!
Can you tell I was surprised!

I love it and I have already used it multiple times! Thanks Mom!

Then we went to Temple Square (which was packed!) and saw all of the lights.

I just love the temple and it makes it even better when you are there with your family!

Christmas Eve was at Grandma Velma's house for dinner and the Nativity.
We opened our new Christmas PJ's from Garrett's mom along with a Christmas storybook.

Christmas Morning we woke up and went to Grandma J's for breakfast which is always amazing! The year long wait is so worth it when you take that first bite of her Christmas Souffle'.
After breakfast, we went back over to Redmond for Christmas with his family.
I gave Garrett some new movies and a sound bar for our TV.

He gave me some new boots and we both gave each other new winter coats. Garrett's mom also gave us a beautiful quilt!

The Christmas Break was wonderful! We got to visit family and friends, spend some time at the family cabin in Beaver, relax, play some basketball, see a few movies, and create some great memories!

A Time to Relax!

Christmas Break was so incredible! Two weeks of just relaxing and doing whatever we want! Garrett spent a lot of his time playing Madden Football on the XBox and I filled my time with reading and coming up with fun crafts with Garrett's mom. I found these ribbon trees in a magazine and I wanted to try them. They were so fun and way cute!
